Puligny-Montrachet 2013
Domaine Leflaive's Puligny-Montrachet village is the ideal introduction to the great style of the maison: a blend of seven parcels on the lower slope on clay-limestone soils, biodynamic since 1998. Fermentation in barrique (a minimal percentage of new wood), ageing 12-18 months on fine lees. Elegant, fresh and mineral-driven — one of the best villages of the appellation. The 2013 is a vintage of good acidity and tension.

Insight
Get to know the wine
The Puligny-Montrachet 2013 from Domaine Leflaive is born from the blend of seven parcels in a position
on the lower slope at Puligny-Montrachet, all managed biodynamically with horse ploughing to preserve the
soil. Pneumatic pressing, settling, then fermentation in barrique with a low percentage of
new wood — a fresher style than the Premier and Grand Cru. Ageing 12-18 months on fine lees.
The 2013 gave this village an important acid tension and a clear mineral profile — less
opulent than warm vintages but of great finesse and length. Perfect to drink now, at its best by
2028.
Sommelier's note
“"Green apple, pear, flint and white flowers on a fresh and precise bouquet. On the palate it is fine and vertical, with a web of acidity that sustains notes of lemon, chalk and delicate vanilla. A clean and persistent finish, worthy of a great Burgundian village. To drink now until 2028." ”
