Get to know the wine
The Blanc de Blancs Collection 2002 by Delamotte is made from pure Chardonnay from four principal terroirs of the Cote des Blancs: 20% Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, 20% Avize, 20% Oger and other Grand Crus.
Vinified in steel, full malolactic. Extended ageing on the lees. The Collection denotes the version with delayed disgorgement for greater complexity. The 2002 shows splendid evolution: ripe fruit, silky minerality.
Sommelier's note
“"Brilliant straw white with a very fine perlage. Acacia, green apple, citrus, chalk and toasted brioche. Fresh, lively and of great minerality. Elegant structure and a long, saline finish. A meditation Champagne at a price that is surprising for the quality. To be drunk now, at its best through 2030."”
