Meursault 2013
Coche-Dury's Meursault is perhaps the greatest village wine in the world — a white that puts many a Grand Cru to shame. Jean-Francois Coche (today Raphael) vinifies selected parcels around Meursault with gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation in barrique, measured bâtonnage and 22 months of ageing in wood (30% new). The 2013 is elegant, precise, with lively acidity and extraordinary minerality. WA 92 — considered the Narvaux bottling.

Insight
Get to know the wine
The Meursault 2013 from Domaine Coche-Dury comes from selected parcels around Meursault on marl-limestone soils.
The philosophy is extreme: very low yields, extremely gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation in Burgundian barriques, regular bâtonnage during the elevage.
Ageing 22 months in wood — 30% new barriques for the village, higher percentages for the principal crus. The wine undergoes neither fining nor filtration. The 2013 vintage in Burgundy produced elegant wines with good acidity.
The profile of the Coche-Dury Meursault is unmistakable: flint, burnt match, cutting minerality and ripe white fruit. Years after release it already shows great complexity. To keep until 2030 and beyond.
Sommelier's note
“"Flint and burnt match on the nose, with unrivalled aromatic precision. On the palate it is enveloping with great volume, fine acidity, peach and mandarin, a long and tender finish. Crush Wine: 'wine of aristocratic flair, shocking combination of opulence and rigor — heartbreaking. Everything points to a graceful and long aging curve.' At its best from 2025."”
