Château Margaux 2007
Château Margaux is the most 'feminine' of the five First Growths of Bordeaux — its signature is absolute elegance, the most floral and seductive aromas of the Médoc. The 2007, though a difficult vintage, still allowed Margaux to express its most refined and accessible character. Among the First Growths of 2007, Margaux is particularly appreciated for its grace and its willingness to be drunk relatively young

The Château Margaux 2007 is born from the Château's 82 hectares under vine on gravelly soils characteristic of
Margaux: poor, free-draining soil that forces the roots deep. Blend typical of the Château: Cabernet
Sauvignon ~75%, Merlot ~20%, Petit Verdot ~3%, Cabernet Franc ~2%. Alcoholic and
malolactic fermentation in French oak casks. Ageing 18-24 months in new French oak barriques. Only
40% of the production goes into the Grand Vin; the rest makes up the Pavillon Rouge.
The 2007 is a vintage that benefits from the savoir-faire of the great Châteaux in managing difficult
harvests. The Margaux 2007 is already fully open and enjoyable: grace, lightness, tannic aristocracy. A
classic Margaux to drink with pleasure now.
Sommelier's note
“"Ruby red with brilliant lustre. Elegant aromas of violets, red currant, cedar and fine spices. Silky, refined palate, with the very fine tannins typical of Margaux — never heavy, always aristocratic. Fresh acidity that supports a persistent finish. Drink now, at its best within 2030." ”
