Château Margaux
Premier Grand Cru Classé 1855, the essence of Bordeaux elegance. One of the most refined and long-lived wines in the world, with timeless allure.

About Us
Our story
Château Margaux is one of the five Premier Grand Cru Classé in the historic 1855 classification, located in the eponymous Médoc appellation. The château, a neoclassical masterpiece, is surrounded by 87 hectares of vineyard planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wines of Château Margaux are renowned for their supreme elegance, the finesse of their tannins and a bouquet of extraordinary complexity. It is the Bordeaux of grace and seduction, able to combine power and delicacy like no other.
Since 1977 the property has belonged to the Mentzelopoulos family, who have restored the château to the very highest level under the guidance of oenologist Paul Pontallier and today of director Corinne Mentzelopoulos.
