The Volnay Premier Cru Santenots-du-Milieu 2019 from the prestigious Domaine des Comtes Lafon is born in one of the most renowned vineyards of the Volnay appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy.
Although the domaine is famed above all for its great whites of Meursault, it also produces Pinot Noir of the highest level. The Santenots-du-Milieu vineyard is one of the finest Premier Crus of the area, with soils rich in limestone and clay that allow the Pinot Noir to express great elegance and complexity.
The 2019 vintage in Burgundy was excellent, with intense yet perfectly balanced wines.
Vinification is carried out with great precision to preserve aromatic purity and finesse.
Ageing in French oak barrels helps develop depth and structure. The result is a refined, harmonious wine with excellent potential to evolve.
