The Barbaresco 2016 from the Gaja winery is born in the heart of the Langhe, in the Barbaresco zone, one of the most prestigious territories in the world for Nebbiolo production.
The Gaja family has for generations been a benchmark of Piedmontese and international winemaking, famed for the elegance and precision of its wines. This Barbaresco is produced mainly from Nebbiolo, sourced from several vineyards located in the Barbaresco municipality.
The 2016 vintage is considered exceptional in Piedmont thanks to ideal weather conditions that favoured a perfect ripening of the grapes.
Vinification is carried out with great care to preserve aromatic purity and complexity. Ageing in wood helps develop structure and depth.
The result is an elegant, harmonious wine with great capacity to evolve over time.
