About Us
Our story
Lucien Le Moine is a unique négoce house in Burgundy, founded in 1999 by Mounir and Rotem Saouma. Its distinctive feature is that it purchases wines already vinified (in fûts) from selected producers and oversees their élevage (maturation) in its own cellar in Beaune.
The range is extraordinary: dozens of Grand Cru and Premier Cru, from Chambertin to Musigny, from Clos de la Roche to Montrachet. Each fût is treated individually, with frequent tastings and bespoke bottling decisions.
The style is rich and opulent, with a generous yet judicious use of new barrique. The wines of Lucien Le Moine are among the most sought-after in contemporary Burgundy.
