Château Haut-Brion
The oldest of the 1855 Premier Grand Cru Classé estates, the only one outside the Médoc. A wine of unique elegance that has shaped the history of Bordeaux.

About Us
Our story
Château Haut-Brion is the oldest of the five Premier Grand Cru Classé estates of 1855 and the only one located outside the Médoc, in the Pessac-Léognan appellation at the gates of Bordeaux. The château's history dates back to 1533 and its wine was already famous at the court of Charles II of England in the 17th century.
Across 51 hectares of vineyard, Haut-Brion produces wines of unique elegance, with a balanced blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The terroir of gravel over clay gives the wines an unmistakable finesse and aromatic complexity.
Owned by the Dillon family since 1935, the château is managed by Prince Robert of Luxembourg with Jean-Philippe Delmas as technical director.
The Story
A journey through time
