Château Mouton Rothschild
Premier Grand Cru Classé since 1973, the only château ever to have been promoted within the 1855 classification. Iconic artist labels.

About Us
Our story
Château Mouton Rothschild is the only château in history to have been promoted within the 1855 classification: from Deuxième to Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1973. Located in Pauillac, in the heart of the Médoc, it produces wines of extraordinary power, opulence and complexity.
The château is also celebrated for its artist labels: since 1945 every vintage has been illustrated by a different artist – Picasso, Dalí, Warhol, Bacon, Koons – creating true collectible works of art.
The Rothschild family, owners since 1853, also created Opus One in California and Almaviva in Chile. Today the château is led by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild.
