About Us
Our story
Domaine Ponsot is one of the most respected domaines in Burgundy, located in Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1872, the domaine is celebrated for its Clos de la Roche, a Grand Cru in which it holds the largest and qualitatively superior parcel.
Its production philosophy is radical: no use of new oak, no filtration, no fining. The wine must express the terroir in its purest form. Laurent Ponsot, who led the domaine for decades, is also known for his crusade against the counterfeiting of fine wines.
The portfolio includes parcels in prestigious Grand Crus: Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Chambertin and Griotte-Chambertin.
