The Winery
Poderi Aldo Conterno
A historic winery in Monforte d'Alba founded by Aldo Conterno, renowned for Barolo of great elegance and structure from the area's noblest crus.

About Us
Our story
Poderi Aldo Conterno was born in 1969 when Aldo Conterno, brother of Giovanni of the Giacomo Conterno winery, decided to set out on an independent path. The estate is located in Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, and holds some of the appellation's most prized vineyards.
The estate's historic crus – Bussia Soprana, Colonnello, Cicala and Romirasco – produce Barolo of great complexity and longevity. Barolo Granbussia Riserva, a blend of the finest parcels, is the estate's flagship wine.
After Aldo's passing in 2012, his sons Franco, Stefano and Giacomo carry on the family tradition, maintaining the excellence in quality that has made the estate famous around the world.
