Insight
Get to know the wine
The Dom Perignon Vintage 2008 is made from a secret blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Maison's own Grand Crus. Vinified in steel with full malolactic fermentation. Minimum 72 months ageing on the lees.
Dom Perignon produces exclusively Vintage wines. 2008 is the only fresh vintage of the 2000-2009 decade. In the Magnum format the wine evolves at a slower pace than the 75cl bottle, developing complexity over the coming decades.
Sommelier's note
“"Brilliant fruitiness and great complexity: delicate flowers, citrus, stone fruits, anise and mint. On the palate precise, elegant and tonic. Dominant fruit heightened by a lively acidity. Richard Geoffroy: 'Dom Perignon 2008 frees the vintage from an overly literal reading of the canons of Champagne.' In the Magnum: still a decade of longevity. RP 95 — JS 98 — AG 98."”
