Salon Prestige Case 2008 Limited Edition

The Salon Oenothèque Collection is an exclusive case celebrating one of the most iconic and rarest Champagnes in the world. Salon, founded in 1905 by Aimé Salon, was born from the revolutionary idea of producing a single Blanc de Blancs Champagne sourced exclusively from the Grand Cru of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.

This special collection brings together four extraordinary vintages from the house: one Magnum of Salon 2008 and two bottles each of the 2007, 2006 and 2004 vintages. All the bottles were disgorged at the same time in January 2019, as true late disgorgements (Oenothèque).

The dosage is identical for all of them, with a liqueur of 3 g/l, to preserve Salon's purity and stylistic precision. The 2008 vintage, particularly selected and produced in extremely limited quantities, is one of the most celebrated harvests of modern Champagne.

The idea behind the case stems precisely from the rarity of this vintage and the desire to pair it with great earlier vintages aged at length on the lees. The result is a mini-vertical of Salon that lets you explore the evolution and complexity of this extraordinary Blanc de Blancs.
