About Us
Our story
Salon is the most exclusive and radical Champagne in existence: it produces a single wine, from a single grape variety (Chardonnay), from a single cru (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger), and only in exceptional vintages. From 1905 to the present day, fewer than 40 vintages have been produced.
In the years when the wine is not deemed worthy, the grapes are passed on to the sister house Delamotte. When it is produced, Salon rests on the lees for a minimum of 10 years before disgorgement, achieving a unique mineral complexity.
Salon is owned by the Laurent-Perrier group. Production is around 60,000 bottles per vintage, sold at high prices and with extremely limited allocation.
